About how does the high school system in Seattle work

How does the high school system in Seattle work?
How many years of high school are there? What are the requirements? Can credits from Ontario be transferred there and how? Links and any extra info would be really helpful, too. Thanx!!

I would suggest simply calling the school you intend to transfer to and get a copy of your transcript to them. You can go over your transcript with the counselors and they'll tell you what you still need to graduate. If you have a semester, trimester or quarter system back home, and passed your classes satisfactorily in Ontario, you'll probably be fine when it comes to transferability of credits. Below is the main website for Seattle Public Schools - just call the district and ask. You have twelve years of compulsory education in Washington state; most schools have you go to a high school from ninth grade to twelfth grade, but some high schools include eighth grade as well. While there is a state wide diagnostic exam to graduate called the WASL, by the time you get here you may not have to take it. It's effectiveness is hotly debated by the state government and it may not be a requirement for graduation by as early as next year.
